ABSTRACT

Salmonella typhimurium R1+, resistant to 2,500 µg of ampicillin per ml, was rapidly killed by combinations of 60 µg of ampicillin per ml with quinacrine (4 x 10–4 M), ethidium bromide (10–4 M), tilorone (10–4 M), or Nitroakridin 3582 (5 x 10–6 M).
