   Abstract

We describe the prevalence and susceptibility profile of two recently described species C. metapsilosis and C. orthopsilosis related with C. parapsilosis in candidemia. The prevalence of these species (1.7% for C. metapsilosis,1.4% for C. orthopsilosis) is significant. Differences observed in their susceptibility profile could have therapeutic importance.
